    High light is an important environmental stress, and plants possess several photoprotective mechanisms, e.g. formation of zeaxanthin to cope with this condition. Here we report on investigations into the mechanisms employed by two lichen species, which are routinely exposed to such a stress.

    Vysoke zareni je vyznamny environmentalni stres a rostliny maji nekolik fotoprotektivnich mechanismu, jak se s timto stresem vyrovnat, napr. tvorba zeaxantinu. V tomto clanku je popsan vyzkum fotoprotektivnich mechanismu u dvou druhu lisejniku.
