Original language description

This paper is devoted to the study of non-BPS Dp-branes in the presence of NS5-branes on the transverse R3 S1. We will formulate the tachyon effective action in this background and then we will discuss its properties. Then we will study the solutions ofthe equations of motion that describe lower dimensional BPS and non-BPS D-branes.
