The ABC´s of comparative genomics in the Brassicaceae: building blocks of crucifer genomes

  • Original language description

In this review we summarize recent advances in phylogenetics and comparative genomics in the family Brassicaceae. We propose a simple system of 24 conserved chromosomal blocks (labeled A?X) related to a proposed ancestral karyotype (n = 8). These crucifer building blocks can be rearranged to model the genome structures of Arabidopsis thaliana, A. lyrata, Capsella rubella and Brassica rapa.

ABC komparativní genomiky brukvovitých (Brassicaceae): stavbní kameny genomu brukvovitých

  • Czech description

V tomto review shrnujeme současný pokrok ve fylogenetice a komparativní genomice v čeledi Brassicaceae. Navrhujeme jednoduchý systém 24 evolučně konzervovaných ?stavebních kamenů? (označených A-X) vycházející z navrženého ancestrálního karyotypu (n=8). Tyto stavební kameny mohou být uspořádány tak, aby modelovaly genomovou strukturu druhů Arabidopsis thaliana, A. lyrata, Capsella rubella and Brassica rapa.
