The article summarizes papers about telomeres, subtelomeres and their chromatin with special interest at plant telomeres. The link to subtelomeric chromatin is described among plants with the typical telomeres. Among plants with unusual telomeres, the knowledge about telomeres and telomeric proteins is discussed in Asparagales and Cestrum (Solanaceae).

Článek shrnuje přehlednou formou práce o chování telomer, subtelomer a jejich chromatinu se zřetelem na rostlinné telomery. U rostlin s typickými telomerami (Silene latifolia) je popsán i vztah k subtelomerickému chromatinu, z rostlin s neobvyklými telomerami jsou diskutovány poznatky o telomerách a telomerických proteinech u Asparagales a rodu Cestrum (Solanaceae).
