    This study presents faunistic data on 49 newly recorded species of Brachycerous flies for the Lithuanian fauna. They are assigned to 34 genera which belong to eight families (twelve genera are new for our fauna). Special attention in this paper is paid to the family Tachinidae. 22 species, which form almost half of the presented newly recorded species, belong to this family.
