Significance of AMP-activated protein kinase for the effect of leptin
Original language description
The significance of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) for the leptin effect in post-weaning mice was investigated using alpha2 AMPK KO mice. Our results indicate that absence of alpha2 AMPK subunit leads to disruption of signaling pathway for leptin suggesting that alpha2 AMPK subunit is necessary for the effect of leptin.
