Biomonitoring of heavy metals in fishpond littorals - their content in aquatic snails, reed stems and bottom sediments.
Original language description
The aim of this study was to find some new possible bioindicators of heavy metal stress in fishpond littorals. For this purpose, great pond snails (Lymnaea stagnalis), stems of common reed (Phragmites australis) and littoral bottom sediments were collected on 18 fishponds in two regions of the Czech Republic. These samples were analyzed for Cd, Hg and Pb content.
