There are plants with telomerase-independent systems described in the genus Allium in monocots, and genera Cestrum, Vestia and Sessea (Solanaceae) in dicots. Here we show the proteomic evolutionary response in examples of protein which are usuallz associated with the original type of telomeres (telobox proteins).
