Besides the fact that this molecule is one of the building stone of RNA and DNA molecules, there are many derivates with their specific functions. 2aminopurine is well known as mutagen, 2,6diaminopurine is able to replace purine bases in nucleic acids. Benzylaminopurine belongs to group of phytohormones cytokinins.
