Application of laser ablation-based methods and multivariate statistics to provenance studies of artefacts
Original language description
Some artefacts from various localities were analysed using optical emission or mass spectroscopy with laser ablation sampling. Successful application of advanced statistics can be demonstrated on e.g. obsidian artefacts from Near East, South Europe and Middle Europe. Analytical data from Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA ICP MS) were processed using multivariate statistics.
