Mixture Model Clustering for Household Incomes
Original language description
Finite mixture models are often used to study data from a population that is suspected to be composed of a number of homogeneous subpopulations. Mixture-model-based clustering has become a popular approach for its statistical properties and the implementation simplicity of the EM algorithm. Therefore, we focused on the partitions of household income into homogeneous subpopulations using the mclust library of R.
