Clustering of Czech Household Incomes Over Very Short Time Period
Original language description
The article deals with cluster analysis of household income dynamics based on the results of statistical survey EU SILC 2005, 2006 and 2007. We handle the problem of clustering many short time series. Mixed effects models offer a flexible framework for appropriate modeling of among trial correlations and individual trial variance heterogeneity. Consequently, we assume that random parameters are distributed according to a finite normal mixture and we use this mixture model for clustering short time series. The R environment (R Development Core Team, 2004) is used for both mixed model analysis and cluster analysis .
