Optical Sensing of Protein Adsorption on Titanium Implants as a Tool for Determination of Dental Implants Biocompatibility.
Original language description
Adsorption of biopolymers at the metal surface can be folowed by electrochemical and optical methods. Adsorption of biopolymers at the titanium carbide surface increases the optical roughness as well as the thickness and refractive index of the surface layer.Fibrinogen is better adsorbed at the titanium surface which is treated by polishing and etching than at the surface treated only by polishing. Cultivation of osteoblast at the titanium surface showed that the surface treated by polishing and etchingis more proper for the bone cell growth than surface treated only polishing.
