Original language description

One of aims of the meta-analysis of clinical trials is to determine the effectivity of a new type of treatment. For binary data, the efficiency can be measured by a probability of successful treatment. The paper presents statistical properties of an overall treatment effect point estimator in the meta-analysis based on multicentre trials. The construction of this estimator is suggested by Wimmer &amp; Witkovsky (2004).
