Original language description

Current and historical occurence of Carex hordeistichos in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It was confirmed only 4 localities in the Czech Republic and 35 in Slovakia. Species had no well-defined coenotic relationship: it is facultative halophyte. In Slovakia, we re-evaluated the IUCN-status of C. hordeistichos to the category of vulnerable.
