LA-ICP-MS was applied to the study of corrosion of candidate structural materials for a nuclear reactor cooling circuit. Different types of structural materials were examined. The material corrosion changes were studied by elemental mapping the sectionsof samples walls. Penetration of molten salts into specimen was proved, thickness of affected surface was determined.
