Diagnostics of planar discharge for industrial applications
Original language description
The Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge (DCSBD) is a special type of a dielectric barrier discharge that was developed by the research group of prof. Cernak. The DCSBD discharge works at the atmospheric pressure in open air or in different working gases. Plasma treatment using DCSBD discharge changes properties of the materials; the discharge is applicable in treatment of non-woven textiles, wood, silicon wafers, foil, fibres, etc. For this reason, we decided to measure the optical emission spectra in different places of the DCSBD discharge, energy efficiency of the plasma source and heat power transferred in to cooling oil.
