Substrate-assisted laser desorption (SALD) was presented as an alternative to nebulizers and microdroplet generators for introduction of AuNP into ICP MS. SALD allows direct AuNP analysis from plastic substrate. The approch was tested on 50-nm and 80-nmAuNPs. Transport efficiency exceeds 50%(80-nm AuNPs).
