Evolutionary ecology of host-parasite interactions
Original language description
The host-parasite interactions represent one of the most serious topics in evolutionary ecology. In host-parasite interactions module we basically focused on the diversity and phylogeny of selected groups of monogeneans parasitizing the freshwater fish in order to investigate the patterns and processes of host-parasite coevolution and host biogeographical patterns revealed by host specific monogeneans. We also investigated the potential role of parasites in the evolution of host immune system.
