Genotypic and Phenotypic Characterization of probiotic properties of Lactic Acid Bacteria isolated from the Gastrointestinal tract of Wild Boars
Original language description
Post-weaned piglets are highly susceptible to gastrointestinal disorders manifested by diarrhoea. Appropriatelly chosen probiotic strains can serve as a prevence of diarrhoea during post-weaning period. In the study 15 strains isolated from gastrointestinal tract of wild boars were characterized in term of their probiotic properties, like safety (absence of antimicrobial resistance genes), viability in low pH and in presence of bile salts, and utilization of non-digestible substrates from feed.
