Rostlinné invaze a jejich dopad na biodiverzitu ekosystémů

  • Original language description

The invasion of plants has a significant negative impact on a variety of natural habitats. Wetlands are among the most threatened habitats, which in the case of lowland wetlands are negatively affected by excessive eutrophication. This creates optimal conditions for the growth of undesirable invasive species such as North American goldenrod or aster. The overgrowth of areas by these species leads to a homogenization of habitats and a fundamental loss of biodiversity. The result summarizes the causes and consequences of overgrowth, including its impact on the biodiversity of plant and animal communities.
