Original language description
Web applications target large number of users who require user experience tailored to their needs. Beside various designs for different browser settings, localization of Web pages is of great importance, because Web sites can easily be reached by peoplewho do not understand the local language. This paper presents localization approaches for both generated and static data, focusing on maintainability and performance. For dynamic data, setup of localized data sources will be shown and for static texts, use of preprocessed localization stylesheets will be presented. Ideas were developed and verified as a part of test transition of small number of scripts to web components.
