  • Original language description

Several specimens of Octomacrum europaeum (Octomacridae: Monogenea) were found on the gills of Alburnoides bipunctatus in the Czech Republic. The morphometry of the specimens measured in the present study was in agreement with that of the original description. This is the first reported finding of O. europaeum in the Czech Republic for 44 years. To our knowledge, there is no report of theis species of parasite from any other European country.
