This overview paper will outline the current state-of-the-art in E-learning 2.0 with respect to adaptive applications. It will identify issues concerning learning applications in Web 2.0 including pedagogical, business, legal and technological ones. Lessons learned from development of an E-learning 2.0 platform will be presented. Finally, visions and future trends in this area will be discussed.
