The electronic part of the passport should increase the security of the whole document but at the same time brings in new threats to the privacy of the passport holder. Therefore electronic passports need to implement a new set of security features. Thisarticle discusses the principles and the effectiveness of these security features.

Elektronická část cestovních pasů by měla zvýšit bezpečnost celého dokladu, zároveň však přináší potenciální problémy vzhledem k soukromí uživatele. Z tohoto důvodu je nutné implementovat dodatečné ochranné prvky. Tento článek diskutuje jejich principy aúčinnost.
