Within the last four or five years, the "Web 2.0" phenomenon has gained significant attention and is currently the driving force of web development. This article deals with social tagging, one of the typical Web 2.0 applications. Main principles of tagging are described together with the reasons that make tagging so popular and the problems that the uncontrolled nature of tagging may bring. Finally, possible usages of the mass of tagged resources are presented.

Fenoménu jménem "Web 2.0" bylo v posledních čtyřech nebo pěti letech věnována značná pozornost a v současnosti jde bez nadsázky o hlavní hybnou sílu Internetu. Tento článek se zabývá sociálním značkováním, jednou z typických aplikací Webu 2.0. Popsány jsou hlavní principy značkování společně s důvody jeho popularity a s problémy, které může přinášet nekontrolovaná povaha tohoto přístupu. V závěru jsou prezentovány možnosti využití označkovaných zdrojů.
