This paper presents the design and usage of a new initiative within the area of wordnet semantic networks - the Global WordNet Grid (GWG). The idea of building a new open, distributed and fully interconnected language resource is now being realized as apart of the EU project KYOTO. The software tools, that are described in the following text, are developed by Masaryk University NLP Centre using the DEB development platform.
