Alea 2 is a Java based extension to the GridSim Grid simulator. It allows to simulate and evaluate various scheduling algorithms based on both queue and schedule-based priciples in a simulated cluster or Grid environment. Alea 2 allows to simulate heterogeneous clusters with different parameters as well as specific job requirements. It provides parsers for standardized workloads formats as well as complex simulation outputs including visualization interface. Moreover, machine failures simulation is supported. Alea 2 is optimized for simulation speed and scalability.
