Dual World of TeX Math and MathML (TeXperience 2013 talk 27.9.2013, Brejlov, CZ)
Original language description
One of widely accepted TEX heritage is the way how math formulae are entered by authors of math documents. TEX math markup with AMS packages established de facto standard for formulae exchange in the world of authors of mathematics. The situation is different in the world of software applications that handle and exchange math formulae electronically: MathML standard is clearly a winner here. In the talk we will discuss this duality as tackled in the design of Math Information Retrieval (MIR) subsystem in the European Digital Mathematical Library (EuDML, eudml.org).
