Clausal forms you know, you see, I mean, I think etc. in the language of public radio discussions
Original language description
The contribution is based on the analysis of three authentic public radio discussions and concentrates on the use of comment clauses such as you know, you see, I mean, I think. The author shows that without contributing much to the informational contentof a particular communicative situation CCs play important discourse functions in spoken interaction which they do not have in its written variety.
