The paper presents the experience of the Department of English Language and Literature at Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno in introducing interactive modules within LMS Moodle e-learning courses to support traditional contact teaching oflinguistics to students both in pre-service and in-service teacher education. The results of the study suggest that the integration of e-learning support within linguistics-oriented courses has proved to be beneficial as it improves the effectiveness andthe quality of teaching and learning and prepares students for using the World Wide Web and educational communication technologies in their future teaching careers.

Příspěvek dokumentuje zkušenosti Katedry anglického jazyka a literatury na Pedagogické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity v Brně se zaváděním interaktivních modulů u e-learningových kurzů, které využívají systém řízení výuky LMS Moodle na podporu tradiční kontaktové výuky, a to u studentů jak prezenčního, tak kombinovaného studia. Výsledky studie naznačují, že integrace e-learningové opory do lingvisticky zaměřených kurzů je přínosná, protože zlepšuje efektivnost a kvalitu výuky a připravuje studenty na používání internetu a vzdělávacích komunikačních technologií v jejich budoucím učitelském povolání.
