    On the Power of Videostudies in Investigating Instructional Practice

    Methodological seminar that will focus on the topic of using video in research on instruction and curriculum hosted by the Educational Research Centre of the Faculty of Education. The aim of the seminar was to share experience with research on instruction and curriculum based on video recording analysis. The seminar hosted the presentations of two colleagues from the IPN: Liebnitz Institute for Science Education in Kiel, Germany: dr. Mareige Kobarg (Process-oriented Teaching in German Physics Classrooms: Methods and Results of the IPN Video Study) and dr. Katharina Schwindt (Teachers Observe Classroom Videos: Possibilities to Diagnose Teacher Competencies). Two presentations offerd by members of the Educational Research Centre PdF MU: The Past of CPV Video Studies: Capturing Instruction and Curriculum in Czech Schools: Methodology and Realised Analyses and The Future of CPV Video Studies: Analysing Instruction and Curriculum in Czech Schools: Intended Analyses. Cílem semináře byla vzájemná výměna zkušeností s výzkumem založeným na analýze videozáznamu.
