Developing the Creativity of Gifted and Talented Students in Inclusive Programs: Odyssey of the Mind
Original language description
Often schools and teachers are faced with the dilemma of serving students who are gifted and talented due to limitations in staff and funding for special programs. Odyssey of the Mind began in the late 1970s in the US as a creative problem-solving competition. As the program grew, ideas and problems used in the annual competition became available on the internet. Some schools have used these ideas to supplement learning. The types of activities and problems developed by Odyssey of the Mind are especially useful for classes and schools serving children who are gifted and talented.
