Original language description
The presentation deals with some chosen problems concerning the methodology of comparative education research. The goal of the thesis is to contribute to the discussion about the methodological quality of comparative research in education. The author tries to lead the reader through the comparative education research process base on the problem approach. Apart from the brief theoretical and historical foundations of the study the author presents the basic principles of comparative research derived from the current conception of comparative education and its field of the study and chosen kinds of comparative education research. Subsequently there are named particular steps of the comparative research method. The final part deals with the role and place of single case study and state by state study in comparative education studies from the problem oriented methodology point of view.
