The Effect of Two Different Modes of Feedback on Lexical Development of Academic Register in ESAP Students’ Writing
Original language description
The presentation reports the results of the study aimed at exploring the effect of two different modes of multi-draft e-feedback on lexical development of academic register in ESAP students’ writing using the corpus linguistic tool AntWordProfiler. The study investigates the lexical developments in academic register between pre-test and post-test learner corpora collected in two comparison groups which differ in the treatments they received in terms of multi-draft feedback provided. The results indicate that the use of academic and mainly specific vocabulary developed between the pre-test and post-test writings at the expense of the less advanced and specific vocabulary.
