Model of mechanical phenomena in school physics supported by generative AI
Original language description
Nowadays, there is a great emphasis on visualizing all abstract concepts, both in education and everyday life. Physics teachers have long known this fact and some teachers present their visualizations to their students. Visualization programs from specialized educational companies offer a similar service. The objectives of this paper are to give an environment where both teachers and students can create physics visualizations for free on different platforms. The paper offers an insight into physics modelling in teaching and its support by means generative AI, especially of phenomena from mechanics. With an emphasis on applicability in school practice, we will: describe the models; compare selected development environments suitable for creating computer models for the teaching process; and describe the users using and creating the models. The paper will conclude by presenting a piloted model that can be applied in school physics by using the code co-created with generative AI. Teachers or students can use it to gain a different perspective on science itself.
