Running economy in long distance run - comparison of different running technique
Original language description
The research project focuses on the problem of the optimum cross step in long distance run. Step should be energetically most favourable - economy. We want to answer the question whether and under what conditions it is energetically preferable to endurance runner's pace with the impact of the tip or heel. Testing was attended by eight amateur athletes who train regularly. For testing we used not only runner athletes, but athletes involved in other sports. The condition for passing the test was that theperson managed running speed 14kph. We found that there is no significant difference in cardiorespiratory parameters, if we run over the tip or heel.
