We monitored the dynamics of changes in sports efficiency in dependence on thelevel of motor abilities and ice hockey skills of players aged 12 to 15 attending basic schools with a higher number of classes with the focus on ice hockey. Using the officialtesting set of ČSLH, we carried the combination of retrospective research strategies, based on the statistic data analysis and empiric resarch of an ex-post-facto type. The aim was to prove the dependence of sports efficiency, presented as a placement of the team in the table of the competition,on the level of motor abilities, ice hochey and the specific psycho-social factors
