The Comparison of AML/CFT Measures in Selected European Countries
Original language description
Joint contribution of the authors is aimed at financial law regulation so-called money laundering. The measures against money laundering and financing terrorism commonly known under abbreviation AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) are an important instrument used to protect financial markets and world economy. Despite the existence of AML/CFT harmonization at EC/EU level (Directive 2005/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) it is possible to observe significant differences in national legislations of individual European countries. This paper aims in particular to determine the most fundamental differences between national regulations, to point out the selected problems of AML/CFT and to try to propose their solutions.
