Original language description
This paper deals with the impact of the financial crisis on trading in structured products. The impact of the financial crisis on trading in structured products on largest European market is assessed through an analysis of various indicators such as trading volume, number of newly issued products and total number of products on the market. Thanks to the financial crisis a problem of credit risk of the issuer and its inclusion in the price of the structured products came to the forefront of interest of investors and professionals. Past and potential bankruptcies of banking institutions, the most important issuers of these products, affect the trading in structured products. The paper occupies with possible solutions how to regaining investors trust forsegment of structured product.
