Evaluation of the construction industry?s economic situation and expected development according to managers of SMBs

  • Original language description

This article is one of the outputs from an international research project focusing on an analysis of small and medium-sized construction companies. It will attempt a more detailed analysis of the expected, though as yet unverified, relationships betweenselected variables from the current situation of the companies and the anticipated future development emerging from the prior processing of data derived from a questionnaire survey. The relationships between the variables were estimated on the basis of previously processed responses as well as on the basis of theoretically anticipated correlations. Verification of the relationships between the given variables presented in the article was supported by an analysis of the correlations and a comparison of the mean values with a subsequent regression analysis. In accordance with the results of these statistical tests, conclusions were then formed concerning the relationships between the variables.
