The paper introduces formal definition of a general meta-transformation, designed to describe transformation relationships between pairs of semantically similar database objects. The general meta-transformation is applied to typical schematic heterogeneities in multidatabases, resulting in a collection of specific meta-transformations to be utilised in various data integration processes.

Článek uvádí formální definici obecné meta-transformace, navržené pro popis transformačních vztahů mezi dvojicemi sémanticky podobných databázových objektů. Aplikováním této obecná meta-transformace na typické schématické heterogenity v multidatabázích vzniká sada specifických meta-transformací, využitelných v různých procesech integrace dat.
