A review of routines for daily use in Scanning Probe Microscopy data processing is given, including the data visualization, interpolation, leveling, filtering, and similar basic tasks. A discussion on how the user can influence the results by selection of wrong tools or by distorting the data by the used tools is provided as well. Special attention is paid to synthetic data generation, which is a nice tool to estimate the uncertainty related to data processing and is extensively used in the book.
