Study of religions as a modern religious science, unlike other scientific disciplines, has been contending in its short history with serious methodological problems, with one of them related to the very pursuit of connecting scientific research with one's personal religious faith or world-view attitude in general. The paper explores the importance of researcher's personal faith (or a lack of it) in the Czech study of religions.
