Bernard Williams and Ancient Greek Tragedy
Original language description
In the thinking of Bernard Williams we find some of the most inspirational considerations about ancient Greek tragedy. First, we will recall his general reflections on possible approaches to archaic literature. Then we will concentrate on the special meaning which Williams ascribes to the tragedy (Sophoclean) as a typical "stark fiction". Lastly, we will try to interconnect Williams' reflections about Greek antiquities and stark fictions with his considerations about politics.
