Original language description
Roma music folklore, or its verbal component on which it is focused monograph "The song folklore of the Roma in the Slovak and Czech Republics: Ethnosemantics and ethnohistorical approach", were not with us yet been the subject of systematic exploration. The author, ethnologist working at the University of Pardubice, buffet dense ethnic and cultural specifics of the Roma song poetry. Mainly based on authentic texts Roma, whose body is the result of its field collection in the past more than thirty years. The text analyzes advocates is making a broader ethnohistorical framework. It shows the role played by Roma communities in spontaneous musical expression points out the fact that ethnic song is still strong constitutive of Roma culture.
