Das Kapitel beschreibt die Voraussetzungen für den Empfang und spätere Ausweitung des Kultes von Hl. Romedius von Thaur im Bereich Ostböhmens. In der zweiten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts wurde der Heilige, dessen Popularität traditionell mit dem Südtiroler Raum verbunden ist, für die Familienrepräsentation der Adelsfamilie von Thun im Rahmen der ostböhmischen Herrschaft Choltice eingesetzt. Dank verschiedener ikonographischer und historischer Quellenangaben können wir den Kult eines Tiroler Heiligen in dieser Region verfolgen.
