Charge Effects in the Cross-flow Microfiltration of Dispersed Systems.
Original language description
The microfiltration is a very interesting separation process, because it has lower energy requirements and greater separating capability than other separation processes. The major problem of microfiltration is the temporal decline of flux. There were intensifying methods developed. One of these methods is a change of ionic strength which can be modified through the addition of salt or through the change of pH value. The aim of this work is to study the influence of particle size and zeta-potential on permeate flux. The measurements were carried out at two concentrations, two transmembrane pressure differences and two feed rates.
