Pigments Based on Mica Coated with Oxide of Metals
Original language description
Pigments based on mica covered with layer of oxides or oxide-hydroxides of various metals, such as Ti, Cr, Fe, Al, Co, Ni, Zn and Cu have been prepared. Mica flakes were covered by homogeneous precipitation of metal sulphates with urea in an aqueous media at temperatures 95-98 C. The final colour was achieved by thermal treatment at temperatures 150-800 C.
