Many companies recognize that the traditional annual budget (produced near yearend and then used as a guide for the following year even though it?s out of date) is just not good enough. Instead, they are turning to alternative budgets (forecasts) that are updated every few months. It lay down new conditions on the financial decisions. Management must access and process information more quickly and that often means change current practice of data collection and process or even acquiring special softwarethat does the job. The budgeting process and financial decisions can be speed up and improved by several ways and the paper deals with advantages and disadvantages of possible ways.

Czech description

Mnoho podniků zjišťuje, že tradiční roční rozpočet (sestavený na konci roku a používaný jako základní nástroj udávající směr během celého roku navzdory jeho neaaktuálnosti) není v současnosti vhodným nástrojem řízení. Namísto toho se řada podniků obracík využívání alternativních modelů rozpočtování (výhledů), které jsou aktualizovány již po několika měsících. Toto zakládá nové možnosti pro případné finanční a ekonomické rozhodovací procesy. Management však musí zajistit a provést mnohem rychleji operace s informacemi než doposud. To zejména znamená změnit současnou praxi sběru a analýzy dat, nejčastěji pomocí zajištění a instalace patřičných softwarových produktů, které operace s daty provádí automaticky. Rozpočtovací a rozhodovací proces může být urychlena zlepšen několika možnými postupy a tento příspěvek se zabývá klady a zápory těchto možných řešení.
